Sales & Marketing: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
Director, Corporate Sales & Service - Bethlehem Steel FC (USL Affiliate of Philadelphia Union) (Bethlehem, PA)

The Director, Corporate Sales & Service is responsible for generating and servicing new business revenue with local and regional companies through the sale of integrated sponsorship packages of the Bethlehem Steel FC assets. This person will sell and service fully integrated marketing, media and promotional programs that include marketing rights, on premise signage, game partnerships, promotions, event marketing and media exposure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect, close and service new corporate partnerships and media partnerships
  • Establish strong working relationships with local and regional companies to understand individual marketing and business goals and initiatives
  • Identify key open categories and new categories as prospective new business leads
  • Develop unique and individualized proposals  sales presentations and activation plans for individual new business prospects
  • Negotiate sponsor contracts pending final approval by the Business Manager
  • Renew and grow existing corporate sponsorship and media partnerships through continued outstanding service and up selling of additional sponsorship assets into current partnership agreement
  • Create individualized sponsorship packages and activation programs through existing or created Philadelphia Union assets to address prospective sponsor marketing/business goals and to extend internal company goals
  • Work game days, weekends, and special events to entertain existing partners and new business prospects
  • Develop inventory list and pricing model for sponsorship assets
  • Assist with other front office duties as required
  • Reports directly to the Managing Director of Bethlehem Steel FC

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum four to seven (4-7) years of extensive and proven integrated sales and service experience with demonstrated success in the media, sport sponsorship or entertainment fields
  • Experience in the Lehigh Valley marketplace preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives
  • Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills
  • Ability at do all sponsorship fulfillment and activation on and off site
  • Ability to work additional hours outside the normal business week

Duties

Be responsible for sales of Fresno FC ticketing inventory, including:

•Full Season Tickets

Additional responsibilities:

Position Summary: 

The expansion club is seeking a Merchandise Manager/Director responsible for the direct management of the Club’s retail strategy. The successful candidate will oversee operations with all retail partners and points of sale (daily, game-day locations and special events) which includes driving strategic business branding initiatives, as well as meeting the demands of the Club’s daily operations for all three teams. The exact title will be determined by applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a profitable, customer-focused merchandise and retail strategy while enhancing the fan experience. 
  • Oversee Club’s merchandise operations including buying, sales, operations, inventory management and loss prevention.
  • Manage internal merchandising staff, as well as all third-party relationships and agreements. 
  • Focus on the execution of the merchandising business plan, monitoring retail and merchandising performance. 
  • Maintain positive business partnerships with USL representatives and vendors.
  • Purchase merchandise by making proper selections, negotiating most favorable costs and other terms of purchase, as needed.
  • Monitor product sales, inventory turns, markdowns and all other costs to maximize sales and profitability. 
  • Direct merchandise presentation, space allotment and point of purchase information for all retail operations. 
  • Keep abreast of latest retail, merchandising and licensing innovations and concepts to maximize performance as well as source new merchandise and review existing items to ensure products remain competitive.
  • Develop processes and reports for all merchandise and retail functions. 
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure merchandising needs are met.
  • Prepare department budget and operate under budgetary guidelines. 
  • Assist with promotional events and merchandise. 
  • Special ad hoc projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Merchandise Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in merchandising/retail strategy strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of game and fundamentals of soccer preferred.

The Manager will assist with all aspects of the day to day operation of the Ticket Operations Department and works closely with the Director to maintain a professional, organized, and customer friendly ticket experience. This position also works closely with our Ticket Sales and Service department.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day tasks of the ticketing operations department and maintain all Ticket Operations policies and procedures.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sports industry, a solid foundation of sales training and the ability to initiate cold calls and face-to-face appointments and find creative and innovative programs to drive attendance and revenue for the organization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Position Overview:  
This position will oversee all marketing and communications aspects of the club.  This position will report to the Club President.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead all marketing, communications and brand related functions in the creation of campaigns and events designed to acquire and engage fans, build brand affinity/loyalty and drive ticket sales.
  • Management of all external media communications – e.g., outreach, social media, etc.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development of a brand position and a consistent brand message through all internal and external forms of communication, including digital media and content, game operations, events and fan communications.
  • Create and implement comprehensive and creative marketing campaigns supporting ticket sales and brand awareness.  Manage the reporting and measurement of campaign results and opportunities.
  • Oversee applicable agency (brand, media, event management, etc.) relationships to ensure a common brand vision.
  • Manage development and production of all marketing collateral and ticket sales materials.
  • Maintain communicative and collaborative working relationships with other internal departments.
  • Hire all marketing & communications’ department staff from scratch, with the goal to facilitate ownership’s goal to create a first-class environment for a professional soccer team.

Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:  

  • Prior experience working in marketing and communications field, ideally in the area of professional sports, large sports-related media companies, major sports/entertainment events, media/advertising agency and/or other related industries.

Department:  Marketing & Communications

Louisville City FC is a leading club in the United Soccer League (USL). This position will be based in the club’s front office headquarters in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The club is currently developing a state-of-the-art, soccer specific stadium to be built in downtown Louisville by 2020.

Summary:  Reports to Chief Operating Officer and has primary working relationships with the senior management team, leads staff in Marketing/Communications function, and works directly with service providers, media and agencies of record, production vendors and outside consultants. 

Responsible for planning, development, direction and implementation of the Club’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both internal and external.  Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services for the Club in the area of marketing, communications, community and public relations. Lead a compact, hard-working and successful marketing and communications department.

Essential Functions include the following:

  • Responsible for creating, implementing, executing and measuring the success of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies and programs that will enhance the club’s brand and position within the marketplace and assist directly in generating new and returning revenue.
  • Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the club; for strategic market planning; market research programs; marketing activation and engagement planning, and control of the marketing budget. Manage and work with any agencies of record.
  • Protect and champion the brand and ensure articulation of the club’s desired brand position, assure consistent communication of brand and position throughout the club, and assure communication of image and position to all constituencies, both internal and external. Police and protect brand consistency.
  • Develop and implement an aggressive, efficient, cost-effective and value-driven advertising plan to increase awareness through broadcast, print and digital media, outdoor advertising, web content, community partners and social media platforms. Manage the planning, development, and insertion of traditional media spend.

Oversee the strategy, execution and management of the department's e-mail marketing campaigns including creating targeted e-mail messages and developing innovative digital concepts to expand the club brand locally, nationally and internationally, and increase club revenues.
  • Support the goals of LCFC sales by helping to develop initiatives that create engaged, measurable and convertible consumer and business audiences - always tracking to the sale.
  • Act as the Club’s liaison between merchandising and production partners from a startegic marketing position, providing input to branding and design concept.
  • Oversee the production of all club print, merchandise, apparel and electronic branded materials such as use of logo, brochures, websites, apps, etc.
  • Coordinate the production of all club signage for match days and manage the delivery and implementation of all signage and stadium dressing on match days.
  • Plan, manage and execute all LCFC marketing-related events acting as project manager. Work in association with events, operations, sales, broadcast and PR depts. to create and implement first-class and highly-effective events.
  • Assume an 'ownership' and management role over the LCFC database (quality and quantity) and champion data capture, data management and market/customer research.
  • Oversee the production of any marketing video content produced by LCFC staff as well as outside vendors.
  • Oversee placement, optimization and execution of digital media placements.
  • Report and provide a system of KPIs to the management team to progress toward club goals
  • Traffic emails received from fans to appropriate LCFC representative.
  • Monitor and optimize marketing media spend to maximize ROI. Be able to all marketing activities and advertising directly back to sales.

Minimum qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's/Masters Degree in Sport Administration, Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in sports marketing or a related field with a proven successful track record in achieving marketing plan goals and generating revenue.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) with basic graphic design capabilities and understanding.
  • Demonstrated experience with forms of new media including, but not limited to website, social media, video, mobile and/or e-mail marketing campaigns.
  • Outstanding writing and communication skills.

Job Description:
