POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Engagement Representative will represent the organization, the team, and its partners at various events in the greater Charleston area throughout the year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Engage with prospective and current fans in a professional and positive manner through various promotions, events and brand & community efforts.

  • Increase awareness, interest and fan support for the Battery through the distribution of promotional materials and activities.

  • Assist in ticket sales initiatives that contribute to the growth of the Battery database.

  • Provide full operational support (set-up/tear-down) of all promotional materials including tents, tables, etc.

  • Represent the Battery at local and regional events, soccer tournaments, community events, and various other assigned events.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Responsible, out-going and enthusiastic team player.

  • Excellent people skills; ability to interact professionally with internal/external partners at all levels in the organization.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule varying from day, night, weekend and holiday events.

Vice President of Ticket Sales - Charleston Battery (Charleston, SC)

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Direct reports: Director - Ticket Sales, Account Executives, Box Office Manager and Customer Service Representatives.

Overview:

The Vice President of Ticket Sales is one of the most important leadership positions within the Battery organization. The candidate who fills this opening will be a key strategic member and will manage the Ticket Sales, Box Office, and Customer Service Departments. The VP of Ticket Sales is responsible for operating within budget, and for growing ticket sales and event revenues. Candidate is responsible for hiring, training, and managing all employees in the ticket sales and service departments. While the position is management focused, the position is also responsible for bringing in revenues with special focus on Premium seating areas.

Responsibilities:

•Hire and train sales staff on ticketing philosophies and best practices. Continue to train sales staff on a weekly basis either through tape or through practice (role play, hands on training, coaching). Training is done both as a group and on an individual basis.

•Create, manage and execute a comprehensive ticket sales playbook/plan designed to hit revenue goals and achieve maximize ticket sales results. A premium ticket sales plan must also be created within the global ticket sales plan

•Lead department and sales team members to maximize revenues through tickets sold by following a sell-out mentality and selling the dates for games that provide the company with the best advantage to meet goals.

•Set budgetary goals for both Ticket Sales and retention, plus create methods and opportunities for reaching established goals.

•Ensure that the Box Office is operating efficiently, in a timely fashion, within budget.

•Provide necessary ticket sales and commission reports in a timely manner, reports will be presented to executive staff, ownership, and league officials.

•Oversee the entire retention process, including renewal tracking and phone follow up with accounts. This includes creating a proactive customer service plan.

•Set appointments over the phone with customer/company decision-makers to tailor Premium ticket and/or events packages according to customer’s needs.

•Implement Customer Service initiatives as a means to developing better relationships with clients, and in an effort to receive feedback to help streamline operations.

•Fully integrate the ticket sales department into the rest of the organization. Create ticket sales programs that can be fully supported by marketing, PR, social media and team sponsors

•Assist in ensuring that all databases, Season Seat database, wait-list database, groups-database, events-database, and individual-databases, are grown, maintained and utilized appropriately.

•As a key member of the management team, position will help establish a positive sales culture within the organization.

Qualifications Required:

•Minimum of 6+ years of direct Ticket Sales experience, preferably with a professional, college or university sports team, plus a college degree.

•Prior ticket sales management required, preferably in a sr. leadership role

•Strong knowledge of ticket sales and a ticketing system.

•Ability to manage and develop an operating budget.

•Willingness and ability to be mentored by leading sports industry executives

•Strong multi-tasking abilities.

•Strong customer service skills.

•The ability to work off hours, including weekends.

•Other operational tasks as stadium requires.

•Proven ability to be able to lead.

Additional considerations:

•Computer skills with knowledge of word, PowerPoint, excel, data base systems and box office platforms a plus.

•Ideal candidate will be sports career driven, and will want to grow professionally within the Charleston Battery organization.

Compensation:

Nashville Soccer Club (NSC) is seeking its first Ticket Sales Account Executive. As part of the evolving Ticket Sales Department at NSC, we are currently looking to employ an energetic and dynamic Ticket Sales Account Executive to sell all ticket products in the inaugural season. Job Description/Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for, but not limited to, the sales of new Full, Partial and Group ticket packages and Hospitality spaces.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

          Generate new business through group and season tickets sales by executing daily sales calls

·         Utilize CRM and Ticketmaster (Archtics) software to manage customer accounts

·         Ability to come up with new group concepts and ideas for increasing revenue

Position Overview:  
This position will oversee all ‘sponsor’ aspects of the club -- both selling & activation.  This position will report to the Club President.
