RICH TRADITION

The rich tradition of Bethlehem Steel FC was reincarnated in 2015 by the Philadelphia Union as the club’s official affiliate in the United Soccer League. The Union became the ninth team in MLS to independently own and operate a USL club. The Steel are now looking to make a key acquisition to add to our ticket sales department.  Similar to what we look for in players, we envision an aggressive team member that continually attacks from all angles whenever given the chance.  On the pitch, the Steel will be seeking goals.  As our newest addition, you will be seeking Ticket Revenue!

MAIN DUTIES

  1. Prospect and sell season tickets, partial plans, and group tickets for the Lehigh Valley USL Club.
  2. Aggressively build new relationships through cold calling, face-to-face appointments, networking, and stadium tours.
  3. Responsible for creatively prospecting new sales leads while building and managing a sales pipeline.
  4. Maintain high level of customer service.
  5. Involvement in game-day activities, promotions, and outside functions including youth soccer events, pub events, etc.
  6. Develop professional relationships with current clients for referral leads.
  7. Develop new ideas to generate further interest and sales of the products.
  8. Position is 45 hours a week plus commission and bonuses.
  9. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Vice President of Corporate Sponsorships oversees the management and strategic direction for the Charleston Battery Corporate Partnerships department. This individual oversees contract negotiations, pricing, asset developments contractual activation, and customer service for the Charleston Battery.

Essential Functions

  • Guide short and long-term Corporate Sponsorships (promotion of in-kind or financial revenue in support of organizational activity) department goals including but not limited to selling inventory.

  • Responsible for Corporate Sponsorships and business development operations including budget control, capital expenditures and financial reporting

  • Manage the activities of the Corporate Sponsorships department by maximizing sale appropriate goals and metrics to properly measure performance and prioritizing targets

  • Identify, develop and implement elevated process and operational improvements, including innovative offers to enable best-in-class performance and management of sponsorships, service and retention effort products

  • Maintain existing and develop new national and local account partnerships to further and enhance corporate alliances to maximize sales and increased revenue

Looking to break into the sports field?  The Charleston Battery finished 2nd in their conference in 2017 and MUSC stadium is home to the Carolina Challenge Cup which will feature some of the best teams and players in Major League Soccer.  You will be given the training for what it takes to make it in the sports industry.  If you're willing to work hard and have a passion for selling you will be successful in this position.  

The Sales Associate position is a part-time, 30 hour per week position.  We're looking for individuals who want to learn how to sell and do what it takes to continue to grow in the sports industry.

Task and Responsibilities:

  • Make a minimum of 80 calls a day

  • New business development of all Charleston Battery products

  • Build relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer service

THE ROLE:  This is a part-time seasonal position within the Fresno FC Marketing & Fan Experience Department. Job Summary: 

The Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships is a full-time position within the corporate partnership department responsible for generating and maintaining corporate relationships for Fresno FC. This role will manage and oversee the entire sales process from prospecting new business to the execution of the contractual agreements with the corporate partners. This individual will be responsible for selling and marketing integrated corporate partnership programs that incorporate soccer and stadium-controlled assets. He or she will also be responsible for creating marketing partnership proposals, sales retention, corporate activation, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic partnership plans consistent with company business objectives.
  • Achieve established sales goals within budgets set by team leadership.
  • Develop, support and grow a strong book of business; prospecting, selling, cultivating, maintaining and renewing sponsorships, advertising, and corporate partnerships with long-term potential to partner with the club.
  • Build, write and present corporate sponsorship proposals to key clients, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and craft a pitch that best meets brand objecties.
  • Oversee customer service and activation of corporate partners.
  • Interface with broadcasting, accounting, marketing and ticket sales on internal systems related to sponsorship production, advertising inventory, cross-promotional obligation and internal accounts payable/receivable.
  • Work all home matches and community partner activations to support and service relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Prior experience selling multi-faceted advertising and sponsorship platforms to local, regional and national companies.
  • Experience should include selling building signage and team assets, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop pitch concepts and managing asset inventories.

  • Contribute to the club’s social media strategy on all networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Attend home and away Fresno FC matches and other events (e.g. player appearances, community events, training) and cover for various forms of content (e.g. live-stream matches, update the website)
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure digital platforms represent entire business operations and consistent branding narrative 
  • Monitor analytics of the website/content on a regular basis to determine trends and areas of improvement
  • Build a rapport with communications, public relations, technical staff and players to help create top-class content that will better engage the club’s supporters and the Central Valley soccer community

Background:

The sport of soccer has experienced unprecedented growth in the United States in recent years.   This is demonstrated by a variety of metrics -- including fan interest, explosion of games aired on television, media coverage, growth of professional soccer, etc.  The United Soccer League (“USL”) is the affiliated minor league of Major League Soccer (“MLS”).  It features 33 clubs across the U.S. & Canada.  USL has tentatively awarded an expansion franchise on the U.S. West Coast to begin play in Spring 2018 (“Expansion Club”).  

Position Summary:

The Brand Ambassador (BA)  is responsible for generating a sense of excitement wherever they go. The ideal BA will have a passion for the sports industry and people. Our BA’s must be well spoken and have the ability to initiate face-to-face conversations to drive engagement and interest on behalf of LVLFC within the community. The Brand Ambassador must be a self-starter who is able to work independently, but also be a team player able to take direction from various LVLFC departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hours will vary, weekend and nights availability is a must

  • Create and maintain media contacts and relationships both locally and nationally

  • Find new and creative ways to promote and market the club

  • Attend marketing and networking events as needed

  • Game Day responsibilities; oversee press box staff, responsible for game notes, game recaps, stats, social media, production, media relations, manage field level logistics

  • Manage Marketing Event Coordinator position and part-time game day staff related to press box as well as any Marketing Interns

  • Work closely with ticketing and partnership departments to fulfil any of their marketing and/or design related needs, i.e. social media activation, email blasts, pocket schedules, flyers, etc.

  • Experience in Adobe Creative is preferred to develop digital imprint marketing, i.e. social media images, brochures, flyers, programs, etc.

Part Time Box Office Associate - Pittsburgh Riverhounds (Pittsburgh, PA)

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the United Soccer League are seeking an energetic and hardworking person to fill the position of a Box Office Sales Associate.

Details

· Who: Pittsburgh Riverhounds Soccer, LLC and Highmark Stadium

· When: February-October

· Where: Highmark Stadium Pittsburgh, PA

· Part-Time

· Hours: Vary

Position Overview:

This person will be working in the box office on normal business days and game days taking care of all ticketing and box office needs. Duties include but are not limited to:

· They will assist the box office manager and director of ticketing with processing season ticket orders, group orders, and individual game orders using the Ticketmaster Host Ticketing System.

· Responsible for reconciling his/her sales at the end of each day.

· Assist with any inquiries at the box office windows

· Assist with will call on game days

· Assist with stuffing and mailing ticket orders

· Opening and closing the box office on normal business days and game days

· Provide excellent customer service to patrons

· Assist with various departmental projects/needs as assigned

Qualifications

· Education: Any combination of education/experience from high school graduate to college graduate.

· Experience: None

· Available to work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and all Riverhounds games/events

· Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office applications

· Strong work ethic, strong communication skills, energetic, ability and willingness to learn

Position Summary:

The Account Executive position is a full time position in the Ticket Sales Department. The primary focus is selling season ticket and group sales packages. The major component to this position includes working with the local community and businesses whilst finding solutions to drive more ticket sales.

With a focus on consistent training and development through personalized coaching, the Account Executive will build the foundation needed for a successful career in the sports industry. You will be provided training on full menu products that will provide you with the proper framework for your career. 

The Match:

We are looking for the next super star in the soccer world for our sales team. This individual will be a full time employee of Reno 1868 FC. You’ll be making outbound phone calls, going on face to face meetings with prospects, touring clients around Greater Nevada Field and working prospect events. You will also work all home soccer matches during the season and outside events as scheduled. The primary objective of this position is building relationships and generating revenue for the ticket sales department.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell a full menu of ticket products, including, but not limited to season ticket packages, group tickets and hospitality packages.

  • Make cold calls from lists of area companies provided to sell season ticket packages and group tickets.

  • Effectively follow up with clients and prospective clients in order to build relationships to help provide repeat business and to meet excellent customer service requirements.

  • Proactively create opportunities for new business through up selling opportunities and referrals from existing clients.

  • Conduct appointments and tours of Greater Nevada Field to assist in closing new business and developing new relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fluently bilingual in English

  • Undergraduate degree in business/sales/marketing/sports management or similar concentration.

  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. 

  • Extremely coachable and eager to learn every day.

  • Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in the sports / soccer business.

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required.
