Corporate Partnership Coordinator - 2018 Expansion Club - West Coast City (West Coast, XX)

Background: 

The sport of soccer has experienced unprecedented growth in the United States in recent years.   This is demonstrated by a variety of metrics -- including fan interest, explosion of games aired on television, media coverage, growth of professional soccer, etc.  The United Soccer League (“USL”) is an affiliated professinal league of Major League Soccer (“MLS”).  It features 30+ clubs across the U.S. & Canada.  USL has tentatively awarded an expansion franchise on the U.S. West Coast to begin play in Spring 2018 (“Expansion Club”).  In anticipation of finalizing this agreement, the Expansion Club’s ownership group is actively seeking an executive to oversee the project.  

Position Summary: 

The Corporate Partnership Coordinator assists the VP of Corporate Partnerships in all elements of the Department’s responsibilities, including assisting during the selling process and implementing activation and execution of all contractually obligated sponsorship elements. This person will build strong relationships with current partners to aid in the renewal and retention of sponsors and work to continuously increase the level of service and support offered by the sponsorship department to corporate partners.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build a network of leads and cultivate dynamic working relationships with current and new clientele.
  • Gather, plan and execute all contractual elements for each corporate partner.
  • Assist staff with creation of partnership proposals.
  • Lead market research initiatives to enhance partnership and fan development.
  • Assist with sponsorship fulfillment, activation and annual reports.
  • Maintain detailed database of contacts and inventory.
  • Contribute creative promotions to further develop fan base.
  • Represent the club at assigned community events.
  • Assist all departments and special projects as needed.
  • Assist VP – Corporate Partnerships with ad-hoc projects.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive and proven integrated sales experience with demonstrated success in the media, sport sponsorship or entertainment fields.
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives.
  • Strong natural selling skills with proven experience in pitch and strategic positioning.
  • Proven track record of negotiating with the ability to improvise.
  • Must have the ability to network and create relationships while working efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Understanding of the presentation and proposal development process.
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies and negotiating creative solutions.
  • Must be highly organized.

Ticket Sales Account Executive - Charleston Battery (Charleston, SC)

Job Summary: Under the leadership of the Director of Ticket Sales, the Ticket Sales Account Executive is responsible for selling all Charleston Battery  ticket packages including full seasons, partial plans, groups and miscellaneous packages.

Reports to: Director of Ticket Sales

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for producing the maximum revenue for the Charleston Battery through the sale of ticket packages

  • Knowledgeable in all ticket product lines including season plans, partial plans, group sales and premium seating packages

  • Full participation in widespread inbound/outbound call campaigns

  • Minimum of 50 phone calls per day

  • Responsible for in-stadium and outside face-to-face sales presentations to create sales opportunities

  • Responsible for managing and servicing assigned accounts to up-sell and renew on an annual basis

  • Proficient in researching and creating new sales opportunities to increase revenue

  • May be required to work outside sales events in addition to all home games for promoting sales packages through tabling, promotions, and invitations to games

  • Responsible for follow up phone campaigns involving direct marketing efforts

  • Meet or exceed all established activity and sales goals

  • Present weekly sales report to management

  • Active involvement in sales or business organizations including (but not limited to) Chambers of Commerce, Sales and Marketing Executive organizations and other networking association.

  • Represent the Charleston Battery at other events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University required

  • 2-3 years of sales experience with a pro team, stadium, arena, or public assembly facility

  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required

  • Knowledge of ticketing and CRM systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Position Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Bilingual Account Executive position is a full time position in the Ticket Sales Department. The primary focus is selling season ticket and group sales packages. The major component to this position includes working with the Hispanic community and finding solutions to drive more ticket sales.

Practice:

With a focus on consistent training and development through personalized coaching, the Account Executive will build the foundation needed for a successful career in the sports industry. You will be provided training on full menu products that will provide you with the proper framework for your career. 

The Match:

We are looking for the next super star on our sales team. This individual will be a full time employee of Reno 1868 FC. You’ll be making outbound phone calls, going on face to face meetings with prospects, touring clients around Greater Nevada Field, and working prospect events. You will also work all home soccer matches during the season and outside events as scheduled. The primary objective of this position is building relationships and generating revenue for the ticket sales department.

Responsibilities:

· Sell a full menu of ticket products, including, but not limited to full and partial season ticket packages, group tickets and hospitality packages.

· Make cold calls from lists of area companies provided to sell full and partial season ticket packages and group tickets.

· Effectively follow up with clients and prospective clients in order to build relationships to help provide repeat business and to meet excellent customer service requirements.

· Proactively create opportunities for new business through up selling opportunities and referrals from existing clients.

· Conduct appointments and tours of Greater Nevada Field to assist in closing new business and developing new relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Fluently bilingual in English and Spanish

· Undergraduate degree in business/sales/marketing/sports management or similar concentration.

· Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization.

  • Attend all Kickers pro home games, including preseason and postseason, and assist Field Level Manager with pregame, in-game and postgame operations, including but not limited to, locker rooms, bench area, and field level
  • Act as locker room liaison and assist with all team and/or referee needs
  • Assist field level staff with halftime show logistics
  • Assist game day staff with pregame set up and postgame breakdown
  • Assist all departments with special projects as needed

Position Summary/Objective:

The Director of Ticket Sales and Service is responsible for the operations, sales, and marketing of tickets. The sport of soccer has experienced unprecedented growth in the United States in recent years.   This is demonstrated by a variety of metrics -- including fan interest, explosion of games aired on television, media coverage, growth of professional soccer, etc.  The United Soccer League (“USL”) is the affiliated minor league of Major League Soccer (“MLS”).  It features 30+ clubs across the U.S. & Canada.  USL has tentatively awarded an expansion franchise on the U.S. West Coast to begin play in Spring 2018 (“Expansion Club”).  

Position Summary: 

The expansion club is seeking a Merchandise Manager/Director responsible for the direct management of the Club’s retail strategy. The successful candidate will oversee operations with all retail partners and points of sale (daily, game-day locations and special events) which includes driving strategic business branding initiatives, as well as meeting the demands of the Club’s daily operations for all three teams. The exact title will be determined by applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a profitable, customer-focused merchandise and retail strategy while enhancing the fan experience. 
  • Oversee Club’s merchandise operations including buying, sales, operations, inventory management and loss prevention.
  • Manage internal merchandising staff, as well as all third-party relationships and agreements. 
  • Focus on the execution of the merchandising business plan, monitoring retail and merchandising performance. 
  • Maintain positive business partnerships with USL representatives and vendors.
  • Purchase merchandise by making proper selections, negotiating most favorable costs and other terms of purchase, as needed.
  • Monitor product sales, inventory turns, markdowns and all other costs to maximize sales and profitability. 
  • Direct merchandise presentation, space allotment and point of purchase information for all retail operations. 
  • Keep abreast of latest retail, merchandising and licensing innovations and concepts to maximize performance as well as source new merchandise and review existing items to ensure products remain competitive.
  • Develop processes and reports for all merchandise and retail functions. 
  • Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure merchandising needs are met.
  • Prepare department budget and operate under budgetary guidelines. 
  • Assist with promotional events and merchandise. 
  • Special ad hoc projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Merchandise Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in merchandising/retail strategy strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of game and fundamentals of soccer preferred. 
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for providing great customer service.
  • Manage changing priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and creatively solve day-to-day challenges.
  • Strong work ethic with a “get the job done” attitude.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Position Summary: 

A new expansion club is looking for a creative and driven Social Media Coordinator to connect and engage with our fans in a unique, meaningful way. This person knows social media inside and out, and has a proven talent for using it in a consistently effective and innovative way.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement overall social media strategy and create effective, break-through programming features and campaigns to achieve brand and revenue goals.
  • Day-to-day management of all social media channels.
  • Plan and execute social media calendar to ensure consistent, compelling messaging and programming with our online community.
  • Proactively drive influencer relationships & brand partnerships that create interesting content & engagement opportunities.
  • Moderate and monitor fan conversations across all social channels.
  • Work closely on execution of corporate partner initiatives to deliver value to events, sponsor activations, and promotions.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma, or related work experience in Journalism, Communications or Marketing.
  • 2-3 years of experience in social media, preferably with experience in managing multiple social accounts.
  • Very experienced with analytics and driving continuous improvement in this area to ensure continual fan-focused decisions and programming.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the proven ability to write for social media.
  • Familiarity with digital trends and technology, sports and popular culture.
  • An ideas person who is able to work extremely well within a team to come up with creative solutions and identify new opportunities, often in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment.
  • A highly organized self-starter.
  • A strong track record managing social media channels for an established brand. 
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends.
  • Experience with content management systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to produce quality photo and video with a mobile device.
  • Graphic design experience preferred.

Ticket Operations Manager - West Coast City - 2018 Expansion Team (West Coast, XX)

Position Summary: A new expansion club is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Ticket Operations Manager. The Manager will assist with all aspects of the day to day operation of the Ticket Operations Department and works closely with the Director to maintain a professional, organized, and customer friendly ticket experience. This position also works closely with our Ticket Sales and Service department.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day tasks of the ticketing operations department and maintain all Ticket Operations policies and procedures.
  • Build season plans, single events, and price codes in ticketing system.
  • Manage the annual ticket mailing with both internal and external parties.
  • Generate sales reports for internal use and USL single game reports.
  • Oversee and participate in fulfillment of daily ticket orders for all customers.
  • Provide superior professional customer service to patrons and internal and external clients while working alongside the guest service and sales department.
  • Provide support for entry services on matchdays.
  • Update and maintain ticket database on a regular basis.
  • Oversee matchday preparations and operational duties such as box office sales and will-call set up.
  • Assist with season ticket and advance sales ticket printing and match-day box office management.
  • Assist VP of Ticket Sales and Operations with ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Ticket Operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a high pressure environment.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Cash handling/reconciling experience.
