Manager of E-commerce & Merchandising - Fresno Football Club (Fresno, CA)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, E-commerce & Merchandising is responsible for the daily operation of Fresno Football Club’s retail arm, overseeing the official team store, management of game day vendors, and fulfillment of e-commerce orders, as well as playing a key role in the design and sourcing of product. This position involves a high degree of customer service, strong knowledge in the retail space and an excellent work ethic.

REPORTS TO

Director of Marketing & Communications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees product stream, sourcing, design, buying and purchasing for retail & IC orders
  • Manages vendor relationships to facilitate the best product options and timely and efficient ordering cycles
  • Manage online sales, inventory, product placement and e-commerce site functionality
  • Oversee daily financial reporting and inventory for all retail and procurement pieces
  • Receive and verify all merchandise shipments
  • Fulfill all e-commerce orders
  • Oversee store operations on game day and during open hours with help of retail team
  • Hire, train & manage retail team
  • Work all Fresno FC events, including home games and special events

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

  • General upkeep of displays and fixtures
  • Maintaining storage of inventory; clean, organized and functional
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Marketing & Communications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Management experience in a retail environment either selling or servicing patrons, creating displays, merchandise receiving and pricing and resolving customer concerns
  • Experience overseeing large volume purchases from order to point of sales, and working with vendors and designers to source and produce procut
  • Working knowledge of a POS system, preferably Square, Shopify or other cloud-based platform
  • Experience opening and closing a store, including end-of-day financial reporting
  • High level of proficiency with computers; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Spanish language skills preferred

Retail/Licensing: Retail Merchandising
Community Relations & Merchandise Coordinator - Richmond Kickers (Richmond, VA)

Position Summary: The Richmond Kickers are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, detailed-oriented individual who will act as a Brand Ambassador while managing the community relations and merchandising initiatives of the club.  The successful candidate will be integral in fulfilling the club’s retail strategy, work with retail partners and drive strategic growth throughout the region.  Duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing all aspects of merchandise sales and operations, assisting with booking player and mascot appearances, and managing the Street Team.  Flexible schedule, willingness to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends, and access to transportation is necessary.  Reports to General Manager.  Hours initially to range between 25-35 per week.  This role will have the potential to expand into a full time job if criteria and goals are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the Kickers retail inventory and display area at home games and front office
  • Design and maintain online pro shop, and oversee photo shoots, inventory management and order fulfillment
  • Assist with retail sales strategy, product buying and design process
  • Cultivate relationships with current vendors and source new and innovative partners
  • Create innovative seasonal sales and cross-promotional opportunities with ticket sales department
  • Maintain and organize merchandise storage areas
  • Produce weekly sales and inventory reports
  • Proactively research community events to increase brand awareness and scrupulously maintain detailed calendar of events
  • Hire and manage 3-5 Street Team interns, scheduling and assigning events and reviewing weekly reports
  • Coordinate community outreach events and book mascot and player appearances
  • Support the sales staff by creating comprehensive data capture at all events
  • Fulfill donation requests
  • Exhibit superior attention to detail and customer service
  • Assist all departments and special projects as needed

Minimum Position Qualifications

  • Preferably college graduates, ideally with at least one year experience in related field
  • Local candidates preferred 
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented and reliable self-starter who works well in a team environment
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, organizational skills, thoroughness, positive attitude and willingness to adapt in fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate ability to resolve issues, take initiative and establish priorities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Photoshop, excellent writing, telephone and interpersonal skills, interest or background in photography a plus
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including but not limited to evenings and weekends
  • Passion for the game of soccer preferred
