Graphic Design Intern (Summer 2017) - Bethlehem Steel FC (USL Affiliate of Philadelphia Union) (Allentown, PA)

The Graphic Design Intern will work within the Bethlehem Steel FC Marketing department in the creation of content for Bethlehem Steel FC. This designer is responsible for supporting and helping shape the development of concepts, designs and production of a variety of advertising projects (both traditional and non-traditional media) with a focus on brand development. This designer work closely with and also be responsible for producing graphics for other internal Bethlehem Steel FC departments, including Partnership Marketing and Ticket Sales.

Internships with Bethlehem Steel FC will provide qualified interns with an assortment of valuable learning experiences and exposure to all facets of a professional soccer team’s front office.  Interns will be asked to work nights and weekends.

REPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptualize and produce creative across multiple media and messaging platforms— i.e.. print, online, broadcast, social media, outdoor, logos, client presentations and more.
  • Understand brand and the importance of brand standards, and be able to apply such standards to all formats when necessary.
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud Design Suite to generate designs for use on social media, websites and printed materials
  • Work alongside the Marketing department under the supervision of Sr. Graphic Designer to ensure all graphics needs are met
  • Proof all materials in accurate manner, delivering high-quality, on-time and error-free drafts
  • Support other graphic design projects as requested.
  • All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants MUST receive college credit for the internship
  • Accessible online portfolio
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and knowledge of the print production process
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to promote and sell concepts
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a multi-media driven creative environment
  • Exceptional graphic and web design skills.
  • Ability to work well with others including senior management.
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal/written communication skills.
  • Motion design experience is preferred.
  • Ability to photograph, edit and organize photos from internal and external events preferred

Game Day Intern (Summer 2017) - Bethlehem Steel FC (USL Affiliate of Philadelphia Union) (Lehigh Valley, PA)

The Bethlehem Steel F.C. Game Day Internship Program is designed for college students to explore careers in the sports industry while getting hands-on experience working with one of the newest USL teams, Bethlehem Steel F.C.. The Steel Internship Program will expose students to numerous game day roles and will allow students to learn from, and work alongside Bethlehem Steel and Philadelphia Union Front Office Staff members. 

The internship program will begin in late May and will conclude in September.  Interns are expected to be present for every Bethlehem Steel game during that time, unless advised otherwise. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in all game day set up
  • Handle customer service inquiries at fan services and assigned locations
  • Assist with on-field entertainment
  • Sell Steel merchandise at the stand during games
  • Assist staff members with handing out giveaways and other assigned duties with promotional items
  • Opportunity to volunteer for special projects (soccer camps, soccer school, and awareness events)
  • Other responsibilities related to game day operations as assigned by Bethlehem Steel F.C. Front Office members

Assistant Video Analyst - Saint Louis FC (Fenton, MO)


Job Description: 

COMPANY INFORMATION: 

Saint Louis FC is a member of the United Soccer League (USL). The club is currently playing their third season after their expansion in 2015. The club plays its games at WWT Soccer Park, the home of St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club as well. Recently the club announced a merged US Development Academy program U15 and above which will be Saint Louis FC Academy. St, Louis Scott Gallagher MO and Saint Louis Scott Gallagher IL are two of the best development programs in the Midwest, with a proven track record of developing professional players.

Position Description: 

This internship will primarily be focused on supporting St. Louis Scott Gallagher U13/U14 video analysis program. This position will also support the Head Video Analyst & Scout on specific projects for Saint Louis FC first team, PDL and U15 to U19 Academy.

Responsibilities: 

•Record and capture of all St. Louis Scott Gallagher U13/U14 home games.


•Recording of the Saint Louis FC Academy U15-U19 matches as assigned. 


• Post match coding of matches (team and individual).


•Support the Academy staff on the preparation of video for presentations to the teams.


•Support the Individual Development Plans of players by providing clips that support coaching points.


•Assist in the recording and capture of training sessions as needed. 

•Statistical analysis projects. 

•All other duties as assigned. 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: 

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.  The individual must be available on evenings and weekends.  Some travel is expected with St. Louis Scott Gallagher Academy, Saint Louis FC Academy, Saint Louis FC and Saint Louis FC PDL.

•Possess excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. 


•Experience utilizing any performance analysis and video editing software is required.

Accountant/Finanical Analyst - Internship (Summer/Fall) - Saint Louis FC/St. Louis Scott Gallagher (Fenton, MO)

Position Overview:

  • Working under the supervision of the VP of Finance, this internship is responsible for assisting in all general accounting functions for Saint Louis FC and St. Louis Scott Gallagher.  

Essential Duties/Responsibilities and Roles:

  • Assist in all month-end close activities 
  • Complete monthly projects, account analysis and journal entries on a timely basis to coordinate with month-end production of financial statements
  • Create and analyze balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Perform month-end account reconciliations (including ticket sales, fixed assets, inventory, etc.)
  • Create & post journal entries in QuickBooks upon proper review and approval
  • Receive mail and distribute invoices to appropriate departments
  • Create sponsorship invoices and ensure payment in a timely manner
  • Track all sponsorship cash collections and trade elements
  • Maintain files, including general ledger journal vouchers, accounts payable documentation and other miscellaneous items (scan all supporting documents into QuickBooks)
  • Assist with tracking of all youth club team accounts
  • Track club fee members and payments
  • Assist with annual budget process and the monthly rolling forecast
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as needed

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a college program at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level and eligible for college credit
  • Pursuit of Accounting, Finance or a related field degree is preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software a plus
  • Ability to verify data integrity and convert raw data into analytical reports
  • Experience working with general ledger, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other common office efficiency software
  • Strong organizational skills
