2017 Sales and Marketing Internship - Long Island Rough Riders (South Huntington, NY)

The Long Island Rough Riders are seeking qualified candidates to serve as marketing and sales interns for the 2017 season. 

Sales and Marketing Interns are expected to work all seven home games as well as work in the office and attend events as needed. 

Ideal candidates will be committed to customer service and dedicated to improving all aspects of the guest experiences, have an interst in sales, and be able to engage people. Also the ideal candiate will be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. 

Sales and Marketing Interns will be fully immersed in the workings of The Long Island Rough Riders. 

The company office is in Plainview, NY.

Internship - Game Day Staff - Long Island Rough Riders (Plainview, NY)

The Long Island Rough Riders are seeking qualified candidates to serve as game day staff for the 2017 season. 

Game Day Staff members are expected to work all seven home games as well as events as needed. 

Ideal candidates will be committed to customer service and dedicated to improving all aspects of the guest experiences. 

Game day staff is expected to arrive at Cy Donnelly Stadium (Huntington, NY) approximately three (3) hours before the start of each game (except stadium set-up staff, who will arrive approximately four (4) hours prior to the start of the game). 

For those who need additional hours, there will be office projects that will be assigned/available.

The company office is in Plainview, NY.

Responsibilities may include:

Athletic Training Internship - Orange County Soccer Club USL (Irvine, CA)

Orange County Soccer Club USL

Prospective Athletic Training Intern:

The athletic training intern will take an active role in all phases of the athletic training program and will assist the sports medicine staff in the running of their department and the daily operation of their jobs. He or she is expected to act in a professional manner at all times while representing the Orange County Soccer Club USL. The position will require that the person chosen for the internship is as fully available during the times of 7am-3pm Monday thru Friday and then in the evening on Saturday or Sunday for games (several mid-week games included).

Essential duties and responsibilities:

·       Assist the Head ATC and Director of Sports Medicine DPT with pre-training and pre game set up of training room and fields; assist with the post training and post-game cleanup

·       Assist the Head ATC & DPT with treatments and rehab of athletes pre and post-practice

·       Ensure that the athletes are hydrated during training sessions

·       Maintain a clean, neat, and organized training room / practice session

·       Assist in maintaining training room medical supply inventory and Gatorade product inventory

·       Assist Orange County Soccer Club strength and conditioning coach and team sports scientist; assist ATC with PDL team when needed; possibly assist with academy teams when needed

·       Assist medical staff with small tasks needed on daily basis (pharmacy trips, taking athletes to doctor appointments, etc)

·       Assist technical staff with daily miscellaneous duties as needed

·       Demonstrate interpersonal skills required to work effectively with players, coaches, and other staff members

·       Assist with post training and post-game clean up

Requirements:

Must have superb organizational skills, strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task

Must be punctual and accountable every day

Must be able to adapt well to various scenarios, adversity, and weather

Must be trustworthy and have a positive attitude

Enrolled in college in an athletic training education program

Must be on track to becoming NATABOC Certified or already certified

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs

Interest in the field of athletic training is a must

Experience and knowledge of injury care, prevention, recognition, and evaluation

Coverage and knowledge of soccer is a plus

Must be willing and able to perform all taping/manual skills on clinical instructors prior to receiving permission to treat professional athletes.

Understand privacy requirements of professional setting (shall be educated on during training)

CPR/First Aid & AED Certified (must provide photo copy)

Must posses and show proof of own individual liability insurance

Internship is unpaid, housing is not provided; selected intern must find living arrangements prior to moving to Orange County/LA area if they are from out of town

Transportation is necessary for position and is not provided by club

Internship would last a duration of 8 weeks average but is flexible dependent upon selected interns schedule. There is a possibility to be kept on during all Summer months if Technical Staff desire.

The internship/clinical rotation gives preference to juniors, seniors, and grad students in athletic training curricula. Freshman and sophomore applications are highly encouraged to apply but will be considered after the upperclassman have been evaluated. Beginning (April 14) students can send in their applications. Applications will NOT be accepted until all three items mentioned above have been received. The application DEADLINE for all applicants is (May 7). Interviews will be scheduled to begin in the month of May but may be requested throughout open application timeline as desired; those applicants selected will be notified through email about the interview process. Potential start date is at on/after May 7th 2017 dependent upon the athletic training students/interns academic session/schedule.

Job Description: 

COMPANY INFORMATION: 

Saint Louis FC is a member of the United Soccer League (USL). The club is currently playing their third season after their expansion in 2015. The club plays its games at WWT Soccer Park, the home of St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club as well. Recently the club announced a merged US Development Academy program U15 and above which will be Saint Louis FC Academy. St, Louis Scott Gallagher MO and Saint Louis Scott Gallagher IL are two of the best development programs in the Midwest, with a proven track record of developing professional players.

Position Description: 

This internship will primarily be focused on supporting St. Louis Scott Gallagher U13/U14 video analysis program. This position will also support the Head Video Analyst & Scout on specific projects for Saint Louis FC first team, PDL and U15 to U19 Academy.

Responsibilities: 

•Record and capture of all St. Louis Scott Gallagher U13/U14 home games.


•Recording of the Saint Louis FC Academy U15-U19 matches as assigned. 


• Post match coding of matches (team and individual).


•Support the Academy staff on the preparation of video for presentations to the teams.


•Support the Individual Development Plans of players by providing clips that support coaching points.


•Assist in the recording and capture of training sessions as needed. 

•Statistical analysis projects. 

•All other duties as assigned. 

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

Responsibilities:

Saint Louis FC is looking for highly motivated individuals that can make a positive and immediate impact to our growth as an organization. Desired Qualifications:

-Enrolled in a college program at the Undergraduate or Graduate level and eligible for college credit.

Accountant/Finanical Analyst - Internship (Summer/Fall) - Saint Louis FC/St. Louis Scott Gallagher (Fenton, MO)

Position Overview:

  • Working under the supervision of the VP of Finance, this internship is responsible for assisting in all general accounting functions for Saint Louis FC and St. Louis Scott Gallagher.  

Essential Duties/Responsibilities and Roles:

  • Assist in all month-end close activities 
  • Complete monthly projects, account analysis and journal entries on a timely basis to coordinate with month-end production of financial statements
  • Create and analyze balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Perform month-end account reconciliations (including ticket sales, fixed assets, inventory, etc.)
  • Create & post journal entries in QuickBooks upon proper review and approval
  • Receive mail and distribute invoices to appropriate departments
  • Create sponsorship invoices and ensure payment in a timely manner
  • Track all sponsorship cash collections and trade elements
  • Maintain files, including general ledger journal vouchers, accounts payable documentation and other miscellaneous items (scan all supporting documents into QuickBooks)
  • Assist with tracking of all youth club team accounts
  • Track club fee members and payments
  • Assist with annual budget process and the monthly rolling forecast
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as needed

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a college program at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level and eligible for college credit
  • Pursuit of Accounting, Finance or a related field degree is preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks accounting software a plus
  • Ability to verify data integrity and convert raw data into analytical reports
  • Experience working with general ledger, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other common office efficiency software

Youth Soccer Coach & Operations Intern - St. Louis Scott Gallagher (Fenton, MO)

Summary

The Youth Soccer Coach and Operations Internship Program is an opportunity for an individual excited about youth soccer development, coaching, and operations of SLSG Soccer Club.  The individual will work closely with the MO Boys Director and the Director of Player Development Training Program.  The primary role will be assisting the MO Boys Director and Director of Player Development Training Program in all coaching and operations for the programs.  The role will include coaching on the field, operational support of programs, special projects, and other club jobs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coaching

-Help lead coach and provide coaching and positive feedback to youth players

-Understand the topics of each practice and help coach in the session

Operations

-Assist in all setup and clean up of sessions

-Assist in all setup and clean up of leagues and friendlies

-Assist in special operational projects for the youth club

-Assist in any operational support for various youth club events

Education and Experience

-Youth coaching experience

-High School or College playing experience preferred but not required

-Experience with Excel, Powerpoint, and Word is strongly preferred
