Accountant/Financial Analyst - Saint Louis Football Club (Fenton, MO)

Position Overview:

  • Reporting to the VP of Finance, this position is responsible for assisting in all general accounting functions for Saint Louis FC and St. Louis Scott Gallagher.  

Essential Duties/Responsibilities and Roles:

  • Assist in all month end close activities 
  • Complete monthly projects, account analysis and journal entries on a timely basis to coordinate with month end production of financial statements
  • Reconcile bank transactions
  • Create and analyze balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Perform month end account reconciliations (including ticket sales, fixed assets, inventory, etc.)
  • Create & post journal entries in QuickBooks upon proper review and approval
  • Assist with preparation of Board of Directors and business line presentations 
  • Receive mail and distribute invoices to appropriate departments
  • Create sponsorship invoices and ensure payment in a timely manner
  • Track all sponsorship cash collections and trade elements
  • Assist with annual financial audits  
  • Coordinate bank deposit transactions and audit petty cash on a regular basis
  • Maintain files, including general ledger journal vouchers, accounts payable documentation and other miscellaneous items (scan all supporting documents into QuickBooks)
  • Assist with tracking of all youth club team accounts
  • Track club fee members and payments
  • Assist with annual budget process and the monthly rolling forecast
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or similar level of combined work experience and education)
  • 2-3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Experienced with QuickBooks accounting software
  • Analytical experience in a corporate accounting environment
  • Ability to verify data integrity and convert raw data into analytical reports
  • Experience working with general ledger, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other common office efficiency software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and passion for soccer
