JOB TASKS

Administration

Administration of all leagues and facility rentals including but not limited to direct phone sales to solicit league teams, scheduling of league games, executing facility rental agreements, general facility scheduling.

Explore and generate new facility programming.

Answering telephone and in person inquiries from the general public.

Assisting members of the public with completion of appropriate documents.

Completion of reports (ex. Accident occurrence forms, daily facility reports, employee performance reports, etc.)

Cashier

Security

A front of house presence to ensure security of the building.

Evening hours reqired 

To be a point of contact for facility users in case of problems or emergencies.

Responsible for locking and unlocking designated areas.

Cleaning/Maintenance/Equipment

Monitoring of equipment safety.

To set up and put away equipment for activities taking place.

Minor maintenance of equipment and facilities including outdoor areas (ex. Snow removal from doorways).

Cleaning of spillages.

Cleaning of equipment.

Ensuring that all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times (picking up litter and emptying bins, vacuum/sweep, oversee cleanliness of restrooms, etc.).

Health & Safety

Make facility inspections as per Globall Concepts Management.

Update risk assessments and report to Globall Concepts Management when necessary.

Ensure facility users adhere to all health and safety instructions and guidelines.

Make first aid supplies available when necessary.

Ensure that all guidelines for safeguarding spectators and participants are strictly adhered to.

Execute fire safety plan as outlined by Globall Concepts Management.

General

Contribute to the marketing of the facility and its programs.

Attend promotional and company events as directed by Globall Concepts Management.

Put up appropriate displays (posters and literature) associated with Globall Concepts as directed by Globall Concepts Management.

To undertake other tasks as directed by the Globall Concepts Management.

Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.

Participate in training/learning activities as required.

To wear any clothing provided by Globall Concepts for use during work hours.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Qualities:

* Basic DIY skills

* Sense of humor, courteous, customer service oriented

* High level of interpersonal skills, ability to relate well to children and adults, able to work well with colleagues

* Well organized, good time management, able to meet deadlines, detail oriented

* Knowledgeable about soccer and other sports

* Numeracy and literacy

* Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

* Enthusiastic, positive, pro-active nature

* Ability to work under pressure and stress, problem solve

* Ability to undertake administrative duties.

* Maintain confidentiality

* Ability to be flexible and versatile in terms of hours

* Ability to walk extended distances, stand for long periods of time and lift/carry over 50 lbs.

* Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions (hot and cold, wet or humid)

Desirable Qualities:

* Able to provide references which confirm no issues evident in terms of attendance and disciplinary issues and satisfactory standard of work

* Business/sports/facilities management major (background) preferred but not required

* Management and Customer Service experience preferred

* CPR and AED Certification preferred but no required

Facility Operations/Security: Grounds Crew/Turf Management
SAFC Groundskeeper - Toyota Field and STAR Complex - San Antonio FC (San Antonio, TX)

Overview:

The groundskeeper is responsible for performing maintenance and landscaping duties for Toyota Field and STAR Soccer Complex. Maintain athletic fields to include field lining/painting, turf maintenance, and weed control. Inspect irrigation system regularly to ensure it is working properly, repair as needed. Support in scheduling/applying fertilizer applications, nutrient applications, and any turf program as needed. Assist in set-up and tear-down of events at the STAR Complex and Toyota Field.

Responsibilties:

  • Facility Maintenance- Assist management with Turf and Landscaping Operations maintenance and ensure all facilities throughout the complex are in good repair and operating safely and efficiently.
  • Fan Experience - Coordinate and maintain a standard of quality customer service consisten with SS&E Family standards. Handle concerns effectively and positively. Problem solve and overcome barriers to provide superior customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as required by senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience in Turf and Landscaping at large complexes, recreations centers and or golf courses mandatory. This includes, but not limited to turf grass management and sprigging, sod cutting and installation, irrigation management, mowing, trimming and use of blowers and fertilizing with a walk-behind fertilizer.
  • 2-3 years experience with diverse maintenance responsibilities, including building upkeep.
  • 1-2 years’experience field marking and logo painting
  • Working knowledge of warm season grasses.
  • Basic knowledge of Irrigation systems.
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading staff and managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills a must.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to work outdoors 90-95%.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid Texas driver’s license. 
  • Must have the ability to pass a standard background screening.
  • Must obtain Texas Pesticide Applicators license within 180 days of employment.

Facility Operations/Security: Usher/Ticket Taker
Event Usher - Tampa Bay Rowdies (St. Petersburg, FL)

Responsible for providing excellent guest services at all Al Lang Stadium events and working a variety of positions.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Greeting Guests
  • Provide great customer service
  • Assist patrons with finding their seats
  • Provide stadium information and directions
  • Provide current event information to patrons
  • Scan tickets at entry
  • Control ticket access points throughout the stadium
  • Assist with problems/issues that may arise

Minimum Requirements:
